Inaugural event of the CO-SOLIDARITY PLATFORM: Solidarity without borders.
An initiative that promotes the transnational solidarity network. The event will take place on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at 18:00 at the “Agora Argyri” Community Center. The Region of Western Greece in collaboration with Co2gether, InterMediaKT, the Patient Care Simulation Laboratory of the Nursing Department of the University of Patras and the French Organization SECOL are the organizers of the event. Participating agencies and citizens will have the opportunity to learn about the services and health materials offered free of charge by CO-SOLIDARITY PLATFORM, through the solidarity network it has developed with local and social agencies, both in France and Greece.
At the same time, young workers and students of our city will have the opportunity to learn about the opportunities created through their participation in European programs and initiatives both on a professional and voluntary level, as well as to get to know student organizations and pan-European networks active abroad.
The aim is to develop and cultivate social values (volunteering, solidarity, contribution) in the new generation of society, but also to strengthen the cooperation between France and Greece. The Deputy Governor Mr. Charalambos Bonanos will perform the opening of the event, important institutional bodies of national and regional scope that support the action will also be present, such as the Municipality of Patras, POMAmeA of Western Greece & Southern Ionian Islands, the Chamber of Achaia and businesses such as TOBEA. The coordination of the event will be carried out by the journalist of the “Peloponnisos” newspaper, Konstantinos Lambropoulos and the translation into French will be undertaken by the Francophone Association of Achaia.
